Carolyn L. Rosenblatt is an RN, elder law attorney, consultant, and author.
Ms. Rosenblatt spent 10 years as an RN, first in hospitals and nursing homes and then working with families in the home health field. She has direct experience with over 10,000 patients of all kinds. Her second career as a lawyer representing injured individuals kept her in constant contact with caregiving and medicine, litigating and trying cases. After retiring from that, Ms. Rosenblatt founded AgingParents.com consulting with families of aging loved ones and elders themselves on healthcare, legal, financial and emotional/psychological issues of aging, including dementia. She partners there with her co-founder and husband of 38 years, Dr. Mikol Davis, a geriatric psychologist. They also founded AgingInvestor.com, an educational resource for financial professionals.
She is the author of 4 books, including The Family Guide to Aging Parents, as well as one for lawyers and two for financial professionals with aging clients. She is passionate about promoting quality of life for elders, preventing elder abuse and guiding those who take on the caregiver role for their loved ones. She often speaks to women bearing the lion’s share of this work. She has been a caregiver herself for aging parents and a disabled sibling.
She is a strong advocate for healthy aging and has been an active triathlete for 9 years. She and Dr. Davis have two grown children.
